Deep Breathing and Concentration
No matter what you do in this life, if you want to achieve good results and to be successful, a certain level of special concentration is going to be required. You need to be in control of the things that happen around you; otherwise you won’t be able to reach your goals and to achieve our desires. I understand that it is just a matter of time till most of the things that you learn are being put into practice, but something you just need to act without hesitating in order to realize that no matter what you do in life you can still do it properly and have success. People living this obscure and often too overwhelmed contemporary life are often too tired to think about anything and to concentrate on what is really important (as their health and the relation with those surrounding them). I’ve done my investigation and discovered that many people claim a lack of confidence and a major reducing of their attention, in comparison with approximately ten year ago. Times are changing, our priorities are chancing and the way we do things in life tend to get various interesting forms. So, is concentration really important?
However, our simple lack of focus cannot be blamed on everything that is taking place around us like the culture, the internet, the media, etc. Being constantly distracted is another result of our constant evolution and transformation. It’s hard to remain the same, but it is a pity that people mostly get “better” in those domains that basically no one really needs. Being able to focus on your health for example is extremely important and will increase the overall understanding of living longer. Believe it or not, but deep breathing can help you achieve something like this. That’s because the connection between one’s ability to control his breath and to get a higher level of concentration is something that even our smart ancestors realized. Your brain needs to constantly be oxygenated; otherwise it won’t be able to receive the same amount of information, to understand, to archive and to send it back or forward. A good level of focus is achieved when your brain is fed by good oxygenation.
We aren’t required to learn a lot of rocket science in order to be able to apply basic breathing relaxation techniques and to practice them in such a way that they contribute to the constant improvement of our concentration. Certain breathing exercises that are practiced by people who are involved into PRANAYAMA also help to stop the death of brain cells. In most of the cases these cannot be regenerated so easy and it is just a matter of time till we lose more and more. Another thing you guys need to know is that if you learn to practice breathing on a daily basics having one good common goal of improving your concentration you will also contribute to a better discipline of the body and mind. You might feel a little boredom at the beginning, since you are forced to concentrate on something that looks extremely static and not interesting in the first place – your breath. However, once you advance you realize that each time you do your breathing properly you are just one step ahead from getting a better level of concentration.
A general relaxing and empowering strength on your body is what you’ll feel when constantly training your deep, regular and slow diaphragmatic breathing. Doing it each and every day might not seem comfortable by most people that have a job to attend or a business to run, but believe me that it doesn’t take so much time after all. All you need to have is less than ten minutes, or sometimes you can do it even when driving. I completely understand that the world we are currently living in doesn’t allow us to meditate hours in a row in the lotus stance somewhere in the woods far away from our home city. However, if you know that deep breathing is going to improve your concentration, you have to go for this. Don’t even underestimate the ancient knowledge of breath control because you don’t know what you are talking about. You shouldn’t be a scientist or fitness enthusiast in order to practice deep breathing. It can be done by anyone, even extremely busy businessmen. The benefits of deep breathing are so huge, that
I can’t see why you wouldn’t at least try it.
Remember, if you are not being able to focus as you should, try to find ways to get out the most of your lungs, through the art of deep breathing. You are about to experience a new level of concentration in your life and to improve most of the things that you are currently doing or plan to do in the near future.
